FAQ
What do you make?
I make just about any kind of amigurumi you can imagine — from fandom-inspired pieces to original little weirdos. I also create clothing, accessories, comfort blankets, and one-of-a-kind creatures. Basically: yarn chaos in all its forms, including the bright and cheerful stuff.
Do you take custom orders?
Yes! Everything I make is custom. If you have an idea, I’m happy to bring it to life.
How do I request a custom piece?
You can reach out through my contact form or email me directly.
What information do you need from me for a custom?
Details help! Colors, size, type of item, and any reference photos you have. If I can’t find a pattern or image online, your photo helps guide the design.
How long does a typical project take?
If I already have the pattern, about four days. If I’m designing it from scratch, it can take a month or more. If supplies are delayed, the timeline adjusts accordingly.
What materials do you use?
I work with felt, embroidery thread, cotton, acrylic, wool, and the occasional llama fiber if it’s on sale. I also use metals, plastics, and wood when a project calls for it. I’m not limited to yarn — I craft beyond the skein.
Are your items safe for children or babies?
They can be! Just let me know ahead of time. If you don’t specify, I’ll assume the item is for someone who doesn’t put things in their mouth.
Can you recreate something I saw online?
Possibly! Send me the image and I’ll let you know what’s doable.
Do you make fan-inspired items?
Absolutely — they’re some of my favorites to create.
Do you require payment upfront?
No. Payment is due when the project is finished. I total the cost once everything is complete.
What payment methods do you accept?
Zelle, CashApp, and PayPal.
Do you offer refunds?
If you don’t like the finished product, you don’t pay — and I’ll list it for someone else.
What happens if I need to cancel an order?
No problem — I’ll simply sell the item to someone else.
Do you offer payment plans?
Not anymore — the system was unfortunately abused.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! Just be aware that international shipping can be pricey.
How long does shipping take?
Once the item is finished and paid for, I ship the next day (except Sundays).
Do you provide tracking?
Yes — I’ll email your tracking number as soon as it ships.
What should I do if my package is lost or damaged?
Please contact the post office. I can’t control what happens in transit.
How long have you been crocheting?
Over 20 years.
What inspires your designs?
Life, my kid, cartoons, other creators, things I see in stores — inspiration comes from everywhere.
Do you use patterns or create your own?
Both!
Do you sell finished items, patterns, or both?
Both.
Can I sell items made from your patterns?
Yes — just credit me as the pattern creator.
Why do you run your shop the way you do?
Because of social anxiety and neuropathy. This setup lets me work at a pace that’s healthy for me.
Do you work full-time as a fiber artist?
I don’t think of it as “work.” I love what I do, and it keeps me busy.
How does your disability affect your crafting schedule?
Mostly in winter, my neuropathy and cold don’t mix well. I will literally be bedridden on most days.
Why do you talk openly about inclusion and advocacy?
I talk openly about inclusion and advocacy because it’s the tradition I come from and the identity I carry. My ancestry is multiracial: Scottish, Irish, Italian, Jewish, German, Polish, Spanish, and Lenape. I was raised to understand that humanity isn’t divided into boxes; it’s a tapestry of histories, colors, and cultures. My family descends from the Northern Wallace and Conway lines. Quaker-aligned, abolitionist, justice-oriented people who believed in equality long before it was popular. My husband’s Robbins line carries its own anti-slavery legacy; his ancestors were known for treating marginalized families as their own, which is how the name was adopted. Inclusion isn’t political for me. It’s inherited. It’s lived. It’s the only worldview that makes sense when your very existence is the product of so many intersecting lineages.
What kind of customers is this space meant for?
This space is for kind, respectful, open-minded humans who appreciate handmade work and treat creators with dignity.
How do I wash or care for my handmade item?
If your item includes plastics, metals, or clay, hand-wash gently with a color-safe cleaner. For yarn-only items, use the delicate cycle (a mesh bag helps) and tumble dry on low.
Will my plushie or clothing stretch, fade, or pill?
Over time, yes — all fibers naturally change with use, especially well-loved plushies.
Can you repair an item if something happens to it?
It depends on the damage. If it’s fixable, I’ll repair it. If not, I can remake it at a reduced cost.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Not at the moment — maybe in the future as the shop grows.
Can you include a personalized note?
Yes! I’m happy to include a note, and I always add a business card.
Do you take rush orders?
I can take small rush orders, but medium and large items can’t be rushed.
